Child, Family, and Individual Therapy
After years of teaching elementary school, I decided to become the therapist I wished for when children, families, and individuals were looking for support. I believe wholeheartedly that everyone not only deserves, but desires experiences of being loved, valued, respected, and seen. Through the lens of observing, listening, exploring themes, and inviting curiosity, I have witnessed many joyful stories of learning new ways to communicate and respond with positive, supportive, and developmentally appropriate tools.
My therapeutic approach is rooted in Narrative Therapy and integrates expressive arts, play therapy tools, and interpersonal neurobiological approaches. I work with neurodiverse clients by affirming and adapting our therapeutic practice to meet my client’s perspectives and needs using a strengths-based approach. I do not work with strategies from ABA or punishment-based behavior modification practices.
While I'm more interested in your experience than what labels bring you to therapy, folks frequently seek me out for support with complex behavioral challenges. I hold deep respect for children and families who invite me to be a part of their healing from acute or developmental trauma, including those with histories of abuse and/or neglect. The majority of my scheduled appointments are set aside for working with children between the ages of six and fourteen, though I also offer a single session and/or short-term family therapy appointments.
At this time, my practice is unable to accept insurance.
